I started my Chick-fil-A journey at 15 years old. In the beginning it was just a part-time job for me to earn some money to buy things I wanted. I really liked the food and, of course, being closed on Sundays. My first job assigned to me was cutting and squeezing lemons for our fresh-squeezed lemonade, which we still do today. Soon after I started, it became more than just a job. I really started to enjoy what I was doing and looked forward to coming to “work” every day. I decided as a teenager that I wanted to run my own business one day. I guess you could say the thought of me owning my own business began at the age of 14 when I started a lawn care company, which primarily served the neighborhood in which I lived. After quickly learning the challenges associated with the seasonalities of lawn care I decided early in my college career to pursue the opportunities that Chick-fil-A had available. It was at that point that I pursued the opportunity of Owner/Operator with focus, patience, commitment, and determination. It is now a reality and a pleasure that I get to serve my team and my guests each and every day—except Sunday—in this role. Dreams do come true, but that does not dismiss effort or hard work. What will your story be?
