From Lemons to Leadership
Hello, I’m Matt Webber—CEO of Webber Restaurants, LLC and owner-operator of
Chick-fil-A restaurants in Upstate SC.

I was 15 when I got my first job at Chick-fil-A, cutting lemons to make fresh-squeezed lemonade. I didn’t know it then, but that simple task began a lifelong career journey which brought me to where I am today.

I loved my early job experiences and worked hard to learn all the different roles in the restaurant. By the time I got to college, I was ready to pursue career opportunities within the Chick-fil-A franchise.

I’ve always been an entrepreneur at heart, so the management path ultimately led me to become an owner-operator of two Chick-fil-A restaurants in Simpsonville and Mauldin, SC with approximately 200 employees serving approximately 2 million guests each year.

My career dream came true with focus, patience, commitment, and determination, but it all began with a sharp knife and a box of lemons.
